downs and ups
Isn't it crazy how life can suck one minute and then be amazing the next?
I had a crappy day yesterday. All kinds of things (budget woes, hair woes, work woes, dating woes) were dragging me down. But in the space of 24 hours...

I'm just so frickin' happy to be alive today:
- As of last night, I'm officially in a bonafide, albeit fledgling, exclusive romantic relationship (I'm sure you'll read more about Nathaniel in future posts).
- As of this morning, work is getting under control.
- As of five minutes ago, I was overwhelmed by some spontaneous raves about this here blog from a respected colleague.

Too true... but we're fairly laid back here in Minneapolis. I guess the same principle holds no matter where you live. And quite honestly, I'd rather go from down to up than the other way around.

Wow, very good developments! Fledgling relationships can be the most exciting sometimes, can't they. And your colleague's raves were well deserved and, in this case, timely.
It's almost the weekend, always reason to be smiling...

If only tonight were Sex and the City night. Oh well - maybe you could just go out and buy shoes anyway to give yourself half the experience.
;)
Glad to hear everything's on the up and up. Well, almost everything.

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), there will be no imbibing of cosmos tonight. I've got an advance screening of The Stone Angel. I know pretty much nothing about it. Maybe it'll be good; we'll see.

What's up with your hair? Looks good to me...

Thanks, babe. No, it just always really hurts/itches for a few days after I go in and get it tied. Couldn't sleep the first few nights, and if you look at my scalp you can see the irritation. It is getting better, though.

Congrats on the 'bonafide...fledgling relationship' = I'm happy for you!
Isnt' it great to have a really good day once in ahwile?

Thanks, Pat. He is pretty great... I'm trying to rein myself in. I have the potential to get very enthusiastic about this particular guy.
A great day is absolutely necessary once in a while.
