And after all that, I didn't go. It rained. Whatevs. I'm going to do my bestest to go this weekend.

Greg is definitely moving to California next month. I think I'm ok... whether I stay that way or crumple into a million devastated pieces remains to be seen.

I'm catching an advance screening of The Visitor tonight. I'll let ya know.

P.S. Sorry I've been so lame this week. I'm doing some major catch-up at that job where they actually pay me. I'll try to slack off a little more.

Well, it looks like the Vali-Hi Drive In really will open this Friday. The good news: they haven't raised the price. It's still $7.50 for a triple feature, such as it is. That brings me to the bad news.....

Ugh.

This is what they're showing this weekend, in this order:

• The Forbidden Kingdom - 73% Tomatometer - All right, it might be fun to see Jackie Chan sporting sick dreadies like mine.
• Superhero Movie! - 15% Tomatometer - Yeah. The Leslie Nielsen one. Ick.
• Never Back Down - 26% Tomatometer - They should be paying me to watch this dreck.

OK, yeah, it's a crap selection. Whatever. I'm going for the hot dogs, potato salad, and large quantities of chilled wine. I may lobby Captain Crash for us to leave right after the first feature anyway.

I was really hoping for Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Why, Vali-Hi, why???

It must be spring in Minnesota. In only 15 days (if the guy on the answering machine is telling the truth), the Vali-Hi Drive In will open for the season. This place is easily the best place to catch a movie in the Twin Cities area, for the following reasons:

• Triple feature
• $7.50 per person (at least that's what it was last year)
• Little kids running around in pajamas
• Sound through your car's stereo
• Bring the dog
• Steaks/salmon/hot dogs/hamburgers on your portable grill
• Awesome snack bar
• Cold beer/wine/soda/whatevs in your cooler

You just gotta get there early. And I mean EARLY. Check this out.
